Danger of Hydrogenated Oil in your Kitchen shelves:
Today I was shocked to read the label of my vegetable cooking oil which has been used over all these years in my house. All I knew I was paying $5 for buying the best branded cooking oil in the market. Among my favorites were the Postman, Safflower oil, and Canola oil. And today, my heart beated fast when my eyes caught the word “Hydrogenated” oil in the bottle. And my mind was struck at the horror of those word…… let me start from the beginning of my journey to learn more about what I and all those conscious women/mothers ought to know what we are feeding our loved ones and paying for their ill health. I call them "Poisons in Our Diet".
   Consuming hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats and oils? Then you are consuming Poison; because by the definition of "poison," partially hydrogenated fats and oils are poisons. Dorland's Medical Dictionary defines "poison" as "any substance which, when relatively small amounts are ingested ... has chemical action that may cause damage to structure or disturbance of function, producing symptomatology, illness, or death." . .....more>>

In the same line of concept, The Father of Modern Medicine; Hippocrates had stated "Let your food be your medicine and let your medicine be your food." And Lord Buddha after his enlightment, enlighted his disciples: "We are as we Eat". These famous Statements by legends have remained as an Idiom within the technological parameters masking the general understanding of diet as a calculation of calories.

It is only in this decade that researchers all around the world are unanimously joining their heads together and giving us interesting facts about the FOOD we eat and Why Dietary knowledge is so important to us? And that our Ancestral words were not just statements but are guidelines to emphasis our knowledge towards understanding the food we eat and how it determines our State of a healthy or a diseased body? . .....more>>
